4 medium, fully ripe Haas avocados
½ jalapeño, cut in half lengthwise, with seeds
1 medium, ripe Roma tomato, diced
½ cup RealSweet® sweet onion, finely chopped
2 Tbsp. cilantro, finely chopped
2 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
Juice of ½ of a medium lime
½ tsp of sea salt, or to taste
(optional) 2 Tbsp. sour cream
- Spoon fresh avocado into a mixing bowl. Use a potato masher or hand mixer to mash the avocado to desired creaminess.
- Squeeze fresh lime juice into the mashed avocado. This will help to delay browning of the avocado.
- Mix in remaining ingredients.
- Serve immediately.
(Note: If you don’t want to serve right away, you can store guacamole in a plastic storage bag for a few hours to delay browning. Be sure to squeeze any extra air out of the bag before zipping it closed. When ready to serve, you can simply snip a corner of the bag and squeeze the guacamole into a serving bowl.)
