Ingredients
  • 4 medium, fully ripe Haas avocados
  • ½ jalapeño, cut in half lengthwise, with seeds
  • 1 medium, ripe Roma tomato, diced
  • ½ cup Vidalia onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp cilantro, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, finely minced
  • juice of ½ of a medium lime
  • ½ tsp of sea salt, or to taste
  • 2 Tbsp sour cream (optional)
Instructions
  1. Spoon fresh avocado into a mixing bowl. Use a potato masher or hand mixer to mash the avocado to desired creaminess.
  2. Squeeze fresh lime juice into the mashed avocado. This will help to delay browning of the avocado.
  3. Mix in remaining ingredients.
  4. Serve immediately.

(Note: If you don’t want to serve right away, you can store guacamole in a plastic storage bag for a few hours to delay browning. Be sure to squeeze any extra air out of the bag before zipping it closed. When ready to serve, you can simply snip a corner of the bag and squeeze the guacamole into a serving bowl.)
