Chef Tune's Vidalia Onion Smash Burgers

Made with simple ingredients, and lots of RealSweet Vidalia sweet onions, these mouthwatering smash burgers will definitely be a hit at your next gathering.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb. 70/30 ground beef, portioned in 4 oz balls
  • 1 RealSweet® Vidalia sweet onion, sliced thin
  • 1 cup sliced pickles
  • 4 slices American cheese
  • 4 potato buns
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
  1. Preheat griddle to 400 degrees.
  2. Season meat with salt and pepper.
  3. Place meat on griddle, smash with a spatula, and then top each burger with sliced onions.
  4. After 3 minutes, flip burgers and top with American cheese.
  5. Grill buns, inside down, while cheese is melting. Once buns are toasted, place pickle on bottom bun and then top with burger patty and top bun.
